A jelly good time.

We're an all-gender, strictly casual, community kickball club in the heart of the Deerfield Valley. We're open to adults possessing positive vibes and a sliver or two of spunk.

Make new friends, grab a beverage, and have a ball.

Come as you are

If you’re over 21 and can kick a ball, you’ve met the requirements. This ain’t the big—or even minor—leagues; we’re here for fun.

Close to home

No need to drive to The Big City. We play right in the middle of the Valley, at beautiful Town Hill Park in Whitingham, Vermont.

Work and play

Working a 9-to-5? No worries. We roll evenings and/or weekends. Retirees welcome, but early retirement not required.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I just show up at a game?

Teams are assigned ahead of each game, so you’ll need to sign up first. Please contact us to join or get more information.

  • How much does it cost?

Nothing! The best things in life really are free.

  • What should I bring to the games?

A good attitude and a desire to make friends. Water and/or other beverages. Bug spray or sunscreen. Sturdy shoes are a good idea.

  • How are teams made?

Team members will be randomly assigned and announced ahead of each game.

  • Are there age limits?

You’ll need to be at least 21 years old to play with us. There’s no upper age limit; if you can play the game, come out and join us!

  • Can I bring my kids?

We’re an adults-only (21+) group, so only adults are eligible to play. But, supervised kiddos are certainly welcome in the stands!

  • How often do you meet?

We aim to schedule a game every other week, with occasional games on the weekends, and some extracurricular outings scattered in. We meet on evenings and weekends to accommodate those with jobs.

  • Where do you meet?

Games are played at Town Hill Park in Whitingham, Vermont.

  • Which communities do you serve?

We don’t have any strict requirements. Our current members are from Whitingham, Halifax, Readsboro, and Dover. If you can get to Town Hill Park, you can play.

  • Can I drink at Town Hill Park?

We’re not aware of any laws prohibiting alcohol on town property. While consumption of alcohol beverages is fine, we’re here to play, not get plastered. And, please don’t drink and drive.

  • What are the rules of the game?

We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but it’s not a game without rules. We mostly follow the World Kickball Association rules.

  • Do I need any athletic skills?

You’ll need to be able to run between the bases, and be able to kick and throw a rubber ball, but that’s about it. All skill levels are welcome.

  • What if I can’t, or don’t want to, play?

Just looking to make some new friends? If you can’t or don’t want to play but still want to join us, consider being our umpire, scorekeeper, announcer, or (well-intentioned) shit-talker in the stands.

  • Are teams co-ed?

Yes. People of all genders and no gender can play kickball with us.

  • Do I have to try out for a team?

No. Everyone who wants to play will be assigned to a team.

  • Is this a league?

No. We’re strictly casual, and teams change with each game. We don’t play games against other kickball organizations. Hell, we don’t even know of any other local kickball organizations.

  • Where can I park?

There’s plenty of parking along both sides of Town Hill Road. Please park in the designated areas and not on the lawn.

  • Are there any rules for using Town Hill Park?

Yes, and you can find them here. Please be courteous and share the facilities with others who may be present.

  • Do you have the baseball diamond reserved?

Town Hill Park’s facilities are first-come, first-served, with no reservation system or official schedule. We try to coordinate with other groups that may want to use the diamond.

  • Do you have a code of conduct?

No, but in a nutshell: don’t be an asshole. Players displaying chronic unsportsmanlike or abusive behavior may be asked to leave.

  • Do I have to sign a waiver or release?

We’re not lawyers. If you are, and you get hurt, just remind yourself that you were playing voluntarily and at your own risk.
